Women Helping Women 2016

2016-12-07

Dress for Success® Worldwide is hosting its annual Women Helping Women power breakfast at the illustrious Rainbow Room in Manhattan on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. This intimate event celebrates the success of the women that Dress for Success serves and is designed to directly benefit its Professional Women’s Group, a program specially created to help newly employed women better retain their employment.

Each year, nearly 300 guests gather for this annual “ladies’ morning out” to empower their fellow women in the community. What makes Women Helping Women unique is its powerful panel comprised of three leading ladies at various stages in their careers—a Pioneer, a Principal and a Protégé—who impart the audience with an intergenerational conversation, weaving together the importance of compassion, communication and camaraderie between women and how these valuable connections have helped them achieve monumental milestones in their careers.

Kara Ross will serve as the Pioneer during this discussion. Ms. Ross is an award-winning jewelry designer who is known for using diamonds, pearls and 18kt gold to create one-of-a-kind custom pieces for private clients, including President Obama. In 2003, Ms. Ross launched her eponymous company, Kara Ross New York, with the vision to create jewelry that has character and imagination. In 2015, Ms. Ross launched DIAMONDS UNLEASHED whose mission is to inspire women’s self-worth and create educational opportunities for girls, because if you provide a girl with an education it not only changes her world, but the world of those around her.

Providing the Principal perspective is Bethenny Frankel, Founder of Skinnygirl Cocktails, Author and TV Personality. Ms. Frankel is the creator of the low-calorie cocktail brand Skinnygirl Cocktails and partnered with Beam Suntory in 2011. The cocktail portfolio now includes more than 20 products, including wines, flavored vodkas and delicious ready-to-drink cocktails. Ms. Frankel is also a five-time bestselling author and personality on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City.

Tai Beauchamp, CEO and Founder of Tai Life Media, LLC and TheTaiLife.com, will serve as the Protégé. As an entreprenuer, influencer, public speaker, and media personality, Tai engages women around the world with her genuine approach celebrating inner and outer beauty. A publishing industry veteran, Tai’s expertise in media, fashion and beauty was solidified through her experience as a beauty and fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar, Good Housekeeping, O, The Oprah Magazine, Seventeen and at Vibe Vixen Magazines.

The engaging exchange will be moderated by Joelle Garguilo, Multimedia Journalist at NBC News.

As a sponsor of Women Helping Women you will be providing our women with the tools to achieve economic independence. The time is now to empower a woman in need!
