The Power Walk for Dress for Success 2017

2017-06-03

The Power Walk for Dress for SuccessĀ® isĀ Dress for Success' annual 5K walk event that isĀ dedicated to celebrating and empowering women on their quest towards leading an active and healthy lifestyle, in addition to achieving economic independence. Each mile on the 3.1 mile walk represents one of the three phases that our women experience as they journey along their path to personal and professional successā€”from being unemployed and searching, to recently employed and adjusting, to gainfully employed and succeeding.

The Power Walk for Dress for Success serves as a ā€œwalking testamentā€ to the need for success-driven women to become healthy in all aspects of their lives. Studies prove that employees who exercise for at least 30 minutes, three times a week, are 15% more likely to have higher job performance, and 25% more likely when eating healthy.

By participating, you will be supporting our women in leading a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle that yields career success. The funds raised through this event will allow us to foster our health and wellness initiatives and our continuum of services helping women.
