Our Mission 

The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. 

Our Purpose 

As the leading global nonprofit employment resource for women, Dress for Success empowers women to transform their lives and re-envision their futures. 

We provide women with the services, tools and professional attire to secure employment and advance their careers. Most importantly, our programs equip women with confidence and community which that helps build self-defined success and both personal and professional renewal. The women we help often pay it forward, supporting the next woman who needs a hand.   

Our Beliefs 

Every woman has the right to realize her full potential and achieve financial independence in a more egalitarian world. We believe that with the proper education, tools, and support, women have the capacity to lead more balanced, safer, and enriched lives. 

Gender inequity in the global workplace has taken its toll on women being fairly compensated for paid work on a global bias has resulted in a lack of options and lowered compensation for women for equal work. Therefore, addressing women’s needs is essential if we are to improve the quality of life for not only women, but also their families, communities, and society at large. In fact, recognizing the significant role of women in macro-economic development is crucially important as well as socially and morally just.   

We believe that by offering a woman access to career advancement, financial education and a supportive community will enable her to generate sustained improvement in all aspects of her life, regardless of background or current challenges. 

Working Together 

We are an ever-expanding network of Dress for Success affiliates who work together with volunteers, corporate partners, and local NGOs across the globe to make a significant impact in women’s lives. By supporting each other, we can reach a greater number of women and make our vision a reality. 

 

PROGRAMS
  • SuitingWe want you to feel your best while job searching and in the first few weeks of employment. Once you've scheduled an interview, obtain a referral to visit your local Dress for Success boutique. Our volunteers will work with you to help you choose an interview outfit and will also provide guidance and support for the upcoming interview.
  • LeadershipThe women Dress for Success serves are inspired to lead, to advance in their careers and to give back to their communities. They learn to initiate social change, which makes them assets within their local Dress for Success organizations and in their communities. With the skills and information they gain through these programs, these women can have an even greater impact by inspiring those around them.
