FOR SUCCESS WORLDWIDE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH SOLES4SOULS®,
THE SHOE CHARITY, TO PROVIDE CLOTHING TO WOMEN AFFECTED BY
HAITIAN EARTHQUAKE
Nashville, TN – January 19th, 2010
– Dress for Success Worldwide, a charity that
promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women,
announced Tuesday that it will donate clothing to Soles4Souls
to be shipped to female victims of the 7.0 earthquake in
Haiti.
Beginning January 21, Dress for Success will donate clothing
specifically for the Haitian Relief Effort.
The international charity has helped more than 500,000
women work towards self-sufficiency.
“We thank Soles4Souls for partnering with Dress for Success
and for its steadfast commitment to providing relief to those
in need,” said Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success. “By
working together to provide clothing to women in Haiti that are without this basic
necessity, our hope is that we will be helping thousands of
victims now, and in the coming months.”
Soles4Souls has already pledged one million
pairs of shoes to be distributed to Haitians during a
sustained giving plan in coordination other agencies.
“Our partnership with Dress for Success is
another way we are showing our enduring support of the victims
of this devastated area,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of
Soles4Souls. “We
hope that our combined efforts will help the women of this
area begin to rebuild their lives.”
