DRESS FOR SUCCESS RINGS CLOSING
BELL
AT NASDAQ
New York, NY – (July 14, 2009)
Dress
for Success Worldwide,
an international not-for-profit organization that promotes
the economic independence of disadvantaged women,
rang the Closing Bell at the NASDAQ Marketsite in Times
Square today.
Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide, was
joined onstage by Worldwide board members Doug Checkeris,
CEO of MediaCom, Carla Hendra, CEO of Ogilvy North America
and Chairman of Ogilvy New York, and Clarice Kennedy, Senior
Director of Information Technology at Resources Global
Professionals, in addition to women who have been served by
the organization, affiliate leaders, corporate sponsors, and
several staff and board members of Dress for Success
affiliates from around the world.
The Closing Bell ceremony celebrates Dress for Success’
annual affiliate conference, which kicked off Sunday in
New York City.
Representatives from the more than 90 affiliates
worldwide convene to
develop their nonprofit leadership skills, network with
their peers, learn from industry experts, and become
re-energized in their work. Participants leave the summit
better equipped to serve the women who utilize their
services.

CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide.
“We are honored to be included and thrilled that so
many members of the Dress for Success family could
participate in this one-of-a-kind event.”
