DRESS FOR SUCCESS OPENS NEW OFFICE IN QUEENS
New location will help serve more women with expanded services
New York, NY—November 13, 2008
Dress for Success Worldwide announces the opening of a new office in Queens
located at 114-14 Jamaica Avenue, Richmond Hill, NY.
The Queens branch is part of Dress for Success Worldwide's New York Program.
The New York Program serves more than 4,000 women in New
York City each year with offices in Manhattan, Bronx and
Queens. Dress for Success has operated a branch in
Queens for the past seven years. Through generous
funding and in-kind support from New York Community Trust,
Hyde and Watson Foundation and Home Depot, Dress for Success
was able to relocate the branch to a larger office, which
will enable more women to receive the services provided by
the organization and expand programs such as the Career
Center.
"I am thrilled that we are moving into this great space in
Queens," said Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success
Worldwide. "Many more women will now be able to benefit from
all our services, including suiting, Career Center and the
PWG."
Women living in Queens are referred to Dress for Success by
nearly 70 partner agencies. More than 75 volunteers
prepare clients for their job interview by helping to select
an appropriate suit, providing career advice and most
importantly giving them the confidence to succeed in their
interview or new job.
Once clients secure employment,
they are invited to join the Professional Women's Group,
which provides these women with the partnership of support,
practical information and inspiration to achieve
self-defined success in career and life. There are
currently two Professional Women's Groups operating in
Queens with a membership of 55 women.

opportunities are available at the new location, including
personal shopping and administrative duties. To
