DRESS FOR SUCCESS
STAR-STUDDED GALA DRAWS CELEBRITIES

Among Celebrated Attendees
New York, NY (April 20, 2010) –
Dress for Success Worldwide,
an international nonprofit organization that helps
disadvantaged women achieve economic independence, will host
Something to Share: Dress for Success Worldwide Gala 2010 this
evening at
the
Grand Hyatt
in New York City.
More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend the
event, which is projected to raise more than $1.1million to
enhance and expand the career development and employment
retention programs of Dress for Success.
Something to Share
is a night of celebration for the
organization’s past achievements and future endeavors. The
event, chaired by Niki Leondakis, Chief Operating Officer of
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, will honor top corporate
executives for their professional accomplishments and
contributions to Dress for Success. This year’s honorees
include Rose Flenorl,
Manager of Social
Responsibility for FedEx; Suzanne Kolb,
President of
Marketing, News and Online for E! Entertainment and The
Style Network; and Robert Half International, Inc.
In addition, 16 Dress for Success clients will be on
hand to share their success with the audience.
A highlight of the
evening will be the celebration of mothers.
Dress for Success recognizes the sacrifices that all
mothers make to support their children. Sonja Norwood,
mother of Brandy and Ray J, will be honored for her
commitment in supporting her children as a mother, manager,
and true champion of their success.
Capping off this exciting event will be a
special performance by Natasha Lyonne and Debra Monk of
select readings from the off-Broadway hit,
Love, Loss, and What
I Wore. The show, written by Nora and Delia Ephron, is
an intimate collection of storied based on the memories
triggered by clothes and accessories.
