Dress for Success Austin Announces 2014 Partnership with Teddies for Bettys
From now through December 31, customers can support Dress for Success Austin by donating a very-gently used bra when they shop at Teddies for Bettys, who in turn will extend a 20% discount on any piece of merchandise purchased in their shop that day.
Teddies for Bettys is located in Austin's vibrant downtown at 221 West 2nd Street.
To honor the national day of giving the second year in a row, Dress for Success affilates across the United States - including Dress For Success Austin - encourage women to donate their professional shoes for the entire month of December.
Shoe donations can made at the Dress For Success office at 701 Tillery Street, Suite A-5, Austin.
Through QVC you can donate to Dress For Success all month long! In the month December, you can “purchase” a $10 donation to Dress for Success directly through QVC just like you would any other item that you see online or on TV.

"In Her Shoes", produced and directed by Brandy Amstel won Best Short Documentary at the Trail Dance Film Festival this past weekend in Duncan, Oklahoma. The film features Betty Staehr who tells her personal story of rising from homelessness to giving back to the community that helped her during a difficult time in her life. The film also features Dress for Success Austin and its programs that are designed to help women enter and successfully remain in the workplace.

Dress for Success Presented the World Premiere of “In Her Shoes” Monday evening, which was sold out. The premiere was our documentary about a client’s inspirational story of rebuilding her life and giving back to the community.

Dress for Success Austin is committed to providing services and opportunities to help disadvantaged women establish a solid work history and permanently leave the cycle of poverty. Support extends far beyond the “suit” to a promise to each client of on-going support and information as she enters and remains in the employment arena.
Since 2003, Dress for Success Austinhas supported and served over 5,000 women in Central Texas through referrals from 64 non-profit and government agencies.
We provide all program services at no expense to the client or referral agency. Over 97% of our services are delivered through our dedicated team of volunteers.
