INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY, DECEMBER 5TH - THANK YOU
International Volunteer Day (IVD) is an initiative of the United Nations. It started in 1985 and is celebrated throughout the world on December the 5th every year. 

Dress for Success Wellington volunteers have varying skills and talents and offer support by dressing clients, sorting clothes, assisting in the office, helping at our events, presenting workshops on interview techniques, finding sponsors, maintaining our studio and promoting our cause. 

On Friday the 4th of December we held a shared lunch to honour our 47 volunteers who are all an invaluable part of our team. 

Dress for Success Wellington President Robyn Radomski presented certificates of service to our volunteers who have given their valuable time to us for more than 12 months.

In particular we would like to thank the following volunteers for their passion, hard work and support for more than 5 years: Carolyn Lewin, Cathy Myers, Hilary Black, Jane Catley, Juleen Ormond, Penny Catley-Lewis, Robyn and Peter Radomski, and Valerie Jackson.

It is with heartfelt gratitude; we honour and acknowledge all our volunteers for their wonderful contribution.  Thank you.
 


VISIT BY THE CEO OF DRESS FOR SUCCESS WORLDWIDE
Joi Gordon the CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide was in New Zealand in November.


Joi joined us at the Dress for Success studio on Tuesday 3rd November to meet with two of our clients who were dressed and provided with interview support.

She also hosted a lunch for the Wellington volunteers. 

We were inspired on Monday evening at a special evening hosted by our Mayor and her team.  Joi shared her own story of how she came across Dress for Success by chance and went from being a clothing donor to Board Member in just thirty days!
