Affiliate Home
|   | Dress for Success does not presently have an affiliate in Chattanooga. Our former affiliate in the city shut down a few years ago, and we feel that there are many women in the area that could benefit from our programs. The Worldwide office therefore has made Chattanooga a priority with regard to our expansion within the United States. Since Dress for Success is a grassroots organization, the process of starting a new affiliate is initiated and overseen by the people within a community who know the area best.
We therefore are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate individuals—working either alone or collaborating as a group—who want make a real difference both in their community and in the lives of women by bringing Dress for Success to Chattanooga. An affiliate in this city would provide support and services to disadvantaged women entering or returning to the workforce in an effort to gain economic independence, establish fulfilling careers and secure better futures for themselves. Simply put, starting an affiliate is the chance to make a real difference.
As with any business, starting and operating a non-profit can be challenging, frustrating and time-consuming. Support from institutions and individuals throughout the community is what allows our affiliates to thrive. If you live in Chattanooga or the surrounding areas and would like to get involved with Dress for Success—perhaps by sharing your time, talents and resources during the application or start-up processes—please send an e-mail to worldwide@dressforsuccess.org. We will keep your name on file and pass it on to any candidates from Chattanooga working to open an affiliate; the individual(s) can then let you know how you can get involved.

Unfortunately, because we do not have a program in Chattanooga at this time, we cannot accept donations of clothing in the city or provide assistance to women in need of professional attire and other career development services. We do have an affiliate in Tennessee serving the the women in Memphis. Please visit the local Web site—using the link above—for more information about this program. We also have identified Knoxville and Nashville as priorities with regard to our expansion in the state and are looking for individuals in those cities as well who want to start affiliates of Dress for Success!
