|   | Dress for Success does not presently have an affiliate in Toledo and is eager to provide services to the thousands of women who need our suiting and employment retention programs. Dress for Success is a grassroots organization, and it is people from the community—working either alone or as a group—who start and operate our affiliates. We therefore are looking for individuals with passion and enthusiasm who want to bring Dress for Success to Toledo in order to support women in their efforts to establish rewarding careers, become economically independent and ensure that they and their families have better futures.
Starting a Dress for Success affiliate is an opportunity to make a substantial and lasting difference not only in women's lives but in your community as well. The suits that we distribute are not just clothing—they represent our belief in the ability of every woman to succeed.
Of course, establishing a non-profit from the ground up can be a very challenging and time-consuming enterprise. But the rewards of helping women reach their full potential—thriving both in work and in life—are immeasurable.
Support from the community can make this undertaking much less daunting—and is essential if the affiliate is to flourish. If you live in or near Toledo and cannot take on this project yourself but have resources to share—equipment, a facility, your time and talents and so on—please e-mail us at worldwide@dressforsuccess.org. Once we have an applicant for Toledo, we then will pass your name on to her/him so that the candidate can let you know how you can get involved. Unfortunately, because we do not have a program in Toledo, we cannot offer professional attire or other services to women in this city. In addition, until we have a facility there, we are unable to accept clothing donations.
However, we currently have four affiliates operating in Ohio, serving Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Warren-Youngstown. Please use these links to contact these organizations directly if you want to get involved in helping women in those communites.
