|   | Birmingham is another city in the UK that the Worldwide office thinks would benefit tremendously from the services that Dress for Success offers. We therefore have made locating people in Birmingham who want to start an affiliate there a priority. Opening a non-profit can be challenging. But individuals with a passion for making a difference—and a commitment to improve women's lives—will find the experience truly rewarding as well. Dress for Success is known as an organization that distributes suits, but we see these as much more than just clothing—each one is a symbol of our faith in every woman's ability to succeed in work and in life. And we believe that women in and around Birmingham would be able to build better futures for themslelves and their children with support from Dress for Success.

Community support—from both individuals and institutions—is essential for all Dress for Success affiliates. If you live in or near Birmingham and would like to be part of the start-up process—and would like to share your time, talent, equipment or other resources—please send an e-mail to worldwide@dressforsuccess.org. Once we have an application pending for Birmingham, we will connect you with the candidate who will be able to let you know how you can get involved. Unfortunately, without an affiliate in Birmingham, we cannot offer services to women at this time. We also are unable to accept clothing donations until we open a facility in the city.
We currently have two affiliates in the United Kingdom, serving London and the Strathclyde area of Scotland. You can click on the links above to learn more about these organizations, including how you can support them by donating clothing, contributing financially or volunteering.
We do hope that we will soon be able to add other cities in the United Kingdom to this list and that a Dress for Success affiliate will be able to serve the women of Birmingham!
