|   | Dress for Success presently has no affiliates in Australia, but we are eager provide women throughout Australia access to both our suiting program and our employment retention services. There are a number of cities that we know can benefit from a Dress for Success, and Brisbane is certainly a location where we know that we can have a tremendous impact. It is our hope that we will soon be able to support women in Brisbane as they strive for better futures for themselves and their families.
Dress for Success Worldwide has also identified Sydney and Melbourne as areas where we hope to open affiliates.
We are a grassroots organization, Dress for Success is looking for passionate, energetic and dedicated people—either an individual working alone or a group undertaking the project together—who want to stregnthen their communities and help women realize their full potential by opening a Dress for Success in Brisbane. We have expanded into countries across the globe because we do much more than simply hand out clothing—we change women's lives. And our mission resonates in communities worldwide.
Although affiliates must adhere to our model, they are able to adapt our programs and the services they offer based on the local culture and needs. Starting and operating a Dress for Success is tremendously fulfilling. But getting a non-profit up and running can also be challenging and frustrating.
The support of individuals, organizations and businesses is crucial for the success of any affiliate. If you live in Brisbane—or nearby—and have space, equipment, other resources or expertise to contribute to an affiliate in the city, please e-mail us at worldwide@dressforsuccess.org. We will keep your information on file and put you in touch with an applicant once we have a candidate interested in bringing Dress for Success to the area.
