How we Work:

The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Dress for Success Strathclyde plans to open to referrals shortly. We are currently seeking premises. This year also, from April onwards, we will be running the following programmes;

• Volunteer Training Programme
• A series of Focus Groups for Clients
• A series of Focus Groups for Referrers

Dress for Success Strathclyde has recently been awarded the following grants which we are very grateful for;

History was made on the 19th. of November 2009 when the first ever Dress for Success Event was held in Scotland. The Dress for Success Strathclyde Information Session was held over lunch enabling networking and informal discussion about the future of Dress for Success Services in the area as well as presentations on Dress for Success World Wide and Strathclyde.

Ways you can help;

Run a Suit Drive! - Have some fun in your work place or at your community group and collect gently worn suits and accessories for Dress for Success. We can provide you with a Speaker, leaflets and a presentation to have a fun evening!

Have a Fund Raiser! - Have a fun Fund Raiser with a Representative from Dress for Success Strathclyde as your Guest Speaker. Get to know how you can help support this unique organisation and help women in YOUR community into employment!

The Management Committee is currently working towards opening the affiliate in the West of Scotland area in 2010.  We are thrilled that women in the area will soon be able to benefit from a range of Dress for Success services.
