clothing donations

                                          PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We are in need of the items listed below. We do not have the capacity/room to process any additional items.

 * Nearly new blouses and shells
 * Black all-season pants 
 * Conservative all-season suiting 
 * New or lightly worn pumps (particularly larger sizes and widths),
 * Belts, scarves and costume jewelry and career handbags
 
Please keep in mind that clothing we provide to women is primarily for job interviews. To fulfill this mission, we can only accept items that are:

 * On hangers where applicable
 * Clean and In good condition
 * Current style and all-season weight

We can not accept clothing in bags- all items must be on hangers.

Excess items will be donated to other nonprofit organizations or may be sold to raise funds for others clothing items we are in need of.

Call us at 919.286.2128 to arrange drop-off of large donations (more than 10 pieces).

Note:   1516 office building is in the back corner of this group of office buildings that sits on the southeast corner of Estes and Franklin. (Rodeo restaurant is near the front.)

  • Park in front of bldg – Keller Williams is first door on right.
  • Receptionist will direct you to the Dress for Success drop-off room in their office suites.
  • Receipts are available in the room.
  • Please bring clothing on hangers and accessories in zip lock bags.

AGAIN - NO ITEMS IN BAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please select items thoughtfully and help our volunteers serve clients.

Donor Privacy Policy
Donors' personal contact information will never be sold, rented, or exchanged with other organizations or any other entity in existence unless Dress for Success Triangle NC receives express written permission from the donor.

 

We respect an individual’s right to choice for both electronic and hard copy mail. To have your name removed from all Dress for Success Triangle mailing lists, please send an e-mail to trianglenc@dressforsuccess.org with the subject line Unsubscribe. Please be sure to include your name, email address and telephone number. Every effort is made to allow individual choice and to respond promptly to all requests regarding removal. We seek continuous improvement and welcome all feedback.

Donor Bill of Rights
Dress for Success Triangle support the Donor Bill of Rights as adopted by CASE, AAFRC, AHP, and AFP as well as Dress for Success Worldwide.  “Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. To ensure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the non-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, Dress for Success declares that all donors have these rights:

  1. To be informed of the organization's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
  2. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization's governing board and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
  3. To have access to the organization's most recent financial statements.
  4. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
  5. To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.
  6. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
