| general information | | About Dress for Success Triangle NC
Dress for Success Triangle NC advances low-income women's economic and social development and encourages self-sufficiency through career development and employment retention. Dress for Success Triangle NC responds to the needs of our communities by providing programs that help economically disadvantaged women acquire jobs, retain their new positions and succeed in the mainstream workplace. | suiting program | | On her initial visit a woman receives a suit appropriate for the industry in which she is interviewing and, if available, accessories. After a woman finds a job, she returns to Dress for Success Triangle NC for additional clothing that can be mixed and matched to make several outfits, providing her with the foundation for a professional wardrobe.
| other programs | | Professional Women's Group
Our newly employed clients are also invited to join the Professional Women’s Group (PWG), a program which is designed to support them in work and in life as they build and maintain their careers. Monthly meetings may include such topics as workplace communication, corporate culture, balancing life and work, financial literacy, and the written and unwritten rules of the workplace. The meetings provide members with an opportunity to network with other professional women and to participate in workshops with experts. Click here for current activities.
Career Center
In addition to supporting employment retention through the PWG, Dress for Success Triangle also focuses on employment acquisition by providing its clients with a Career Center. Trained volunteers serve as coaches to assist women with resume building, technology skills, and mock interviews, and they provide moral support throughout the job seeking process. These coaches also provide guidance in the use of the Career Center’s lending library of educational and financial literacy materials. Click here for current activities.
