MANY NEW BENEFITS FOR THE PWG
Come any of the PWG events to find out what is happening.

Simply getting a job is one thing, keeping the job is another issue. Providing power suits gives women a boost of confidence and helps them make an excellent first impression. However, landing the job is just the first step. Women making the transition from welfare to work face a myriad of challenges, from understanding corporate culture to handling personal finances, often without support. The Professional Women’s Group provides a safe environment where members can learn how to exchange ideas and continue to develop their professional skills. Women attend seminars, gain access to benefits such as professional publications and help maintain the infrastructure and support system of an international networking organization.

The Professional Women’s Group, PWG, is a networking association for low-income women who have recently entered the workforce and have been a client of Dress for Success South Central PA. The PWG is an invitation only group that was created to promote career advancement by providing information that helps women unfamiliar with the workplace continue to develop their skills and advance in their jobs. It is the first and only international job-retention program, moving low-income women toward self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community.

The mission of the PWG is to provide our network of employed Dress for Success women the partnership of support, practical information and inspiration to achieve self-defined success in career and life.
