Dress for Success San Antonio is the 2009 winner of the Affiliate of the Year Award, the highest honor given to the Professional Women's group worldwide for Dress for Success organizations.  


The mission of Dress for Success (DFS) San Antonio is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged children and families by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.  Through job preparation, employment retention, and career development programs, DFS San Antonio addresses the needs of low-income women by promoting economic security and self-sufficiency to break the chains of generational poverty.

Dress for Success San Antonio provides professional attire, and workforce development and life skills training to more than 700 women annually so that low-income women residing in San Antonio and the surrounding area may establish a solid work history and permanently leave public assistance. With suits from Dress for Success San Antonio, women not only look their best, they feel their best and have the confidence to succeed. 

Re-established in July 2002 by Pamela Taylor, Dress for Success San Antonio has grown from serving three nonprofit referral agencies to serving over 60 different nonprofit and governmental agencies in the San Antonio community.  An independent 501(c)(3) corporation registered in the state of Texas, Dress for Success San Antonio is part of a world-wide network in more than 100 affiliates in 11 countries.
