Mission Statement

We promote the economic independence of women in need by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Mission History

Since opening our doors in 2007, we have been blessed with the opportunity to empower more than 3,500 women in Central Ohio who are beginning their journey to economic independence. Dress for Success Cleveland and Vocational Guidance Services are founding partners of our mission.

Governance

Dress for Success Columbus is led by a Board of Directors comprised of an Executive Committee and Members based in Central Ohio.

Programs

Personal touch, an accepting, non-judgemental approach, and one-on-one consultations are central to our mission. All of our programs are free of charge for every woman we serve.

Empowerment Suiting changes self-perception. Head-to-toe interview and employment attire, along with cosmetics and personal care products, are provided. Visit the 'What We Do' link (in right margin) for more information. Please email

Career Center,
sponsored by the University of Phoenix, offers workforce readiness resources. A library with professional and personal reference materials, computers with internet and self-led tutorials, a printer, along with needed supplies such as resume paper, are available. Consultations with Human Resource volunteers identify strengths and provide personalized insight for career path development. Visit our Career Center page by clicking here. Please email

Professional Women's Group (PWG) assists with transition to the workforce once employment is secured. PWG supports members as they move from entry-level positions to meaningful careers. Visit our PWG page for details.





Going Places Network by Walmart
  helps unemployed and under-employed women gain personal skills, accelerate their job search and build confidence through weekly training sessions, one-on-one career coaching and networking in a supportive environment. Visit 'Going Places Network' page for details and a downloadable brochure.

Volunteers
